Break Away Connector

Brand: Newson Gale

The Break Away Connector has been designed as drive offs are an unfortunate fact of life when dealing with Tank Truck (Road Tanker) loading and unloading operations.

To protect the product transfer the grounding clamp must always be attached to the Tank Truck (Road Tanker) first before any other operations take place and stowed away safely after all other operations are completed before driving off to the next delivery point.

If this procedure is not followed then the Tank Truck (Road Tanker) can leave the facility and take some or all of the grounding system with it. This can be a costly business to rectify and time consuming to get the safety system back online.

If the Tank Truck (Road Tanker) is driven off prematurely, the grounding clamp and one half of the Break Away Connector separates from the remaining cable thus mitigating further damage to the installation.

This means that only the grounding clamp and half of the Break Away Connector assembly needs to be replaced to enable the grounding system to be up and running again quickly.

Features
  • Vehicle Drive Offs: Only the clamp and BAC assembly need to be replaced to enable the grounding equipment to be up and running again quickly
  • Easy Installation: The Break Away Connector will fit existing Earth-Rite grounding systems fitted with quick connectors
  • Easy Operations: The Break Away Connector will not separate during normal operation but will separate if a drive off occurs mitigating damage to other system components
